Nitrex Metal Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. John D. Hubbard as the newest Co-Chairman of Nitriding Symposium. Mr. Hubbard, who spearheaded Bodycote’s expansion from 1996-2009, will be joining Drs. George E. Totten and Kiyoshi Funatani on the symposium committee. Michel J. Korwin, President of Nitrex Metal Inc. and Symposium Chairman stated, “I am excited that Mr. Hubbard has accepted to serve as Co-Chairman. His broad base of experience and knowledge of the global heat treat industry will be invaluable to this event.”

Mr. Hubbard is the past CEO of Bodycote Plc, an international thermal processing group with over 11,000 people in 300+ facilities across 32 countries. Whether fueling the growth of start-up companies in his junior years or building a world-class business, Mr Hubbard’s passion and vision have helped shape the direction of commercial heat treating over four decades. He has served as a board member and president of ASM Heat Treating Society and the Metal Treating Institute, and was honored as a Distinguished Life Member by ASM in 2005. Since retiring from his position at Bodycote, Hubbard prefers to log hours on the road.
